COMMENCEMENT


The School of Art + Design’s 2008 Commencement Ceremony will be held on Sunday, May 11, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in the Tryon Festival Theater, Krannert Center for the Performing Arts, 500 South Goodwin, Urbana, Illinois.

The Art + Design Commencement Address will be given by Jay Gates, Director of The Phillips Collection in Washington, DC.

Tickets are required for the Art + Design Ceremony.

Immediately following the ceremony, a reception to honor graduates, families, and friends will be held in the Link Gallery at 408 East Peabody Drive, Champaign, Illinois. Invitations will be sent to graduates and parents of graduates in April 2008. Graduates will also receive instructions on reservations, tickets, regalia, diploma presentation, and the ceremony.

The Opening Reception for the 2008 BFA Graduate Exhibition will be held on Saturday, May 3 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Krannert Art Museum. The exhibition will run from May 3 through May 11, and so will be viewable by visitors to the Reception.
