The Urbana-Champaign campus of the University of Illinois is located 200 kilometers south of Chicago. It offers students a full range of stimulating cultural and intellectual activities associated with a mature and progressive university.

Resources for students in Art + Design include the excellent permanent collection and major exhibition program of the Krannert Art Museum; the Ricker Library (one of the largest art and architecture libraries in the nation); the visitors program (includes artists, designers, educators and historians); the extensive theatrical and musical programs offered by the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts; and a variety of lectures, symposia, and other enriching cultural activities.

All of this sits at the crossroads of three major interstates and within several hours of Chicago, Indianapolis, and St. Louis. Trains and buses arrive daily at the Illinois Terminal Building in downtown Champaign. The university's Willard Airport sees nearly 20 commercial flights each day. And Urbana-Champaign's award-winning bus service ensures that once you're here, you'll have no problem finding your way around.
