Japan House 10th Anniversary!

Japan House celebrates its 10th Anniversary this year! Yes, it was a decade ago that this unique facility opened its doors and the gardens were planted. What a lot we have to celebrate! We have many special events planned to thank all of you that have supported Japan House through the years---click here to view just a few of the highlights. 10:00 am -- Campus Bus Tour for Out-Of-Town Guests
2:00 pm -- Hidden Beauty: Yugen in Tea, Noh, and Contemporary Washi Art performance at Krannert Center for the Performing Arts, Tickets available at Krannert Center box office
4:30-5:30 pm -- Tea Ceremonies at Japan House, open to the public
6:00 p.m. -- Reception and Dinner, Lincolnshire Fields Country Club. Contact Japan House for ticket information.

2:00-3:30 pm -- Family Program: Masaji Terasawa performs the ancient art of amezaiku, a method of sculpting hot taffy-like candy into fantastic shapes of animals and other creatures. Hikubi Kimono instructors will also demonstrate kimono dressing.
